Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Project Manager to lead and manage our sales projects from inception through completion. This role involves overseeing the sales process, coordinating with various field teams, and ensuring that projects meet client expectations and company objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a keen understanding of sales strategies, and the ability to drive projects to successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Coordinate and lead project meetings, providing updates and addressing any issues or changes in scope.
- Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.
- Proactively identify potential project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies to address them.
- Implement best practices and lessons learned to enhance future project performance.
- Sales Coordination:
- Oversee the sales process from initial client contact to project delivery.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and manage client relationships to drive growth.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to prospective clients.
- Assist in the development of Sales Strategies, Process, and Closing Performance Improvement.
- Analyze sales data and market conditions to refine strategies and improve sales performance.
- Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Customer Service:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during their roofing projects, addressing inquiries or concerns while providing exceptional service and support.
- Coordinate with the Office Manager to ensure proper data Communicate regularly with customers, providing updates on project progress, scheduling, and any relevant information.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Manage client expectations and ensure a high level of satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Address client concerns promptly and professionally, resolving any issues that arise.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Resolve conflicts and challenges that arise during the project, working to find effective and timely solutions.
- Team Coordination:
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the sales team, project managers, operations staff, and subcontractors.
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration by facilitating regular meetings and updates between departments to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Reporting:
- Prepare detailed project reports, including progress updates, budget expenditures, and performance metrics.
- Analyze project performance data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern.
- Present regular reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key achievements and challenges.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for future reference.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Characteristics:
- Proven experience in sales and project management, preferably within the roofing or construction industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, project management methodologies, and customer relationship management.
- Proficiency in various technologies and software such as CRMs, Estimating Softwares, Commercial Bid Management Systems, Measurement Tools, CompanyCam, Google Workspace, Sheets, Docs, and other relevant software applications.
- Team-oriented with great written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with team members and homeowners.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, if needed.
Required Education/Training:
- High School / G.E.D. required, college degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a start-up environment, preferred.
- Knowledge of all types of roofs including shingle, shake, tile, flat, foam, and metal, preferred.
