We are looking for a friendly and reliable Barista / Bakery Server to join our team at La Placa in Scotts Valley.
We are primarily looking for someone with morning availability who can start at 7:00 AM. The typical morning shift is 7:00 AM–12:00 PM, and availability for multiple days per week is preferred.
This position is a mix of barista work, customer service, and bakery counter service. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and works well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, and other beverages
- Greet customers and provide friendly customer service
- Take customer orders and operate the POS/register
- Serve and package pastries, baked goods, and other items
- Keep the coffee and bakery counter clean, organized, and stocked
- Restock supplies as needed
- Help with opening and/or closing duties
- Maintain a clean and welcoming environment
- Work together with the rest of the team during busy periods

- Barista or food-service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
