Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Line Cook to join the culinary team at the WGV Renaissance St. Augustine. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food items in accordance with recipes, presentation standards, and food safety guidelines while supporting an exceptional guest dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and plating
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely service
- Minimize waste and properly store food items
- Support other kitchen team members as needed during service
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
