Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Open Dental
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private plans
- Manage medical billing and collections, including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and documentation review
- Maintain organized dental records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries and appointment requests
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist with clinic or dental office experience
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental)
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and insurance verification processes
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and effective communication abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
- Prior experience with Dental billing, documentation review, health information management, and office management is highly desirable
