Position Summary
The Rebuild Technician Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the rebuild department while actively performing equipment repairs alongside the team. This position serves as the first point of contact for technicians, provides training and coaching, monitors production goals, and ensures all rebuilt equipment meets Repair Authority's quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Lead and support the daily operations of the rebuild department.
- Perform hands-on rebuilding, repair, and refurbishment of medical equipment.
- Train and mentor new and existing technicians on repair procedures and company standards.
- Monitor technician productivity and workflow to meet daily production goals.
- Ensure all equipment meets quality control and safety requirements before moving to the next stage.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Assist with diagnosing recurring equipment failures and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate repair documentation within company systems.
- Promote a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
- Work closely with Quality Control, Receiving, Shipping, and Operations leadership.
- Assist with scheduling work assignments and prioritizing workload.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce repair turnaround time.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience repairing mechanical or electrical equipment required.
- Prior leadership, trainer, or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow repair procedures.
- Comfortable using computers and repair tracking software.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in medical equipment repair, electronics, manufacturing, automotive repair, biomedical equipment, or a related technical field is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50–70 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely.
- Ability to distinguish small parts, wiring, and components.
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
