Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Training Manager : Paratransit to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive training programs tailored for paratransit operations. In this pivotal role, you will lead the training program for our NEMT operations and paratransit project. You will run a five-week driver academy built on nationally certified curricula, keep drivers and all support staff trained and current, and maintain training records that are always audit-ready. Duties
- Develop and implement innovative training programs aligned with organizational goals, utilizing adult education principles and instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation).
- Lead curriculum development for driver training, safety protocols, customer service excellence, and compliance standards specific to paratransit operations.
- Run new-driver training: classroom, hands-on wheelchair securement lab, behind-the-wheel training, and 40 hours of road observation before any driver carries a customer
- Deliver annual refreshers on securement, customer assistance, defensive driving, conduct, and service policies
- Report training progress to our vendor on its required schedule and maintain permanent training files
- Manage the deployment of learning technology platforms, including LMS (Learning Management System), enterprise learning management systems, and e-learning platforms like Adobe Captivate, to deliver engaging online courses and instructional content.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions and ongoing professional development workshops to enhance skills in areas such as talent management, performance management, and change management.
- Oversee program management activities, including project planning, research on best practices, data collection for evaluation purposes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR teams on succession planning, mentoring programs, and human capital management strategies to develop future leaders within the paratransit division.
- Facilitate training delivery through classroom instruction, virtual sessions, and on-the-job coaching while maintaining high standards of communication skills and public speaking.
Skills
- Expertise in instructional design models such as ADDIE with a strong background in curriculum development for adult learners.
- Long-term experience training paratransit staff
- Proficiency in learning technology tools, including LMS platforms (Workday, SharePoint), e-learning content development (Adobe Captivate), and data management systems like HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and Salesforce.
- Strong curriculum design, instruction, and record-keeping skills
- Training certifications a plus—TAPTCO train-the-trainer is highly valued
- Extensive experience in program management, project coordination, and enterprise learning initiatives within a human resources or transportation environment.
- Strong knowledge of adult education theories, training program design for professional development, and corporate training teaching experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly through public speaking and technical writing.
- Skilled in conflict management, employee relations, HR sourcing strategies, and change management processes to foster a positive learning environment.

Pay: $82,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
