Shift Options:
- 06:30–19:00
- 11:00–19:30
- Open to 4×10s or 3×12s (must provide coverage until 7 PM)
On‑Call Requirements:
- One night every 2 weeks
- One weekend every 6 weeks
Pay Range: $28–$30 per hour
Job Description
The Surgical Scrub Tech will support a high‑volume OR performing a wide range of surgical cases, including open‑heart procedures, orthopedic surgeries, and multiple medical specialties. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, meeting all mandatory requirements, and supporting surgeons across diverse service lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during procedures across multiple specialties
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields
- Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment efficiently
- Support open‑heart, orthopedic, and general surgical cases
- Collaborate with RNs, surgeons, anesthesia, and OR teams
- Document and track supplies using EPIC
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a busy OR department
- Strong scrub experience across multiple surgical specialties
- EPIC experience required
- Ability to work flexible shifts and on‑call rotations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Required Credentials
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) — Issued by NBSTSA; the most widely recognized certification in the U.S. Requires graduation from a CAAHEP‑ or ABHES‑accredited Surgical Technology program
