Part-Time Staff Accountant | Flexible Schedule | $28–$34/hr
Looking for a part-time accounting role where your work actually makes an impact? We're hiring a Staff Accountant to join a collaborative team supporting a growing manufacturing company. Pay: $28.00-$34.00/hour
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Friday (Schedule will be between: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM)
Location: On-site
What You'll Do
- Manage accounts payable and receivable activities using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Monitor automated invoice processing, resolve exceptions, and ensure posting accuracy.
- Process vendor payments, ACH transactions, check runs, and positive pay files.
- Reconcile vendor statements, purchasing cards, and customer accounts.
- Prepare invoices, credit memos, and customer billing documentation.
- Process customer payments and assist with collections.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end close activities and sales/use tax filings.
- Support internal and external audits with documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and ERP automation.
- Serve as a point of contact for vendor and customer questions.
- Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent accounting experience).
- 2+ years of accounting experience, including AP, AR, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another ERP system.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently while being part of a collaborative team.
