Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises and identify any suspicious behavior.
- Control access by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to check for security breaches, safety hazards, or unauthorized access.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when required to manage conflicts or security threats effectively.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting theft or vandalism attempts.
Requirements
- Proven ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations; experience in conflict management is a plus.
- Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and familiarity with security protocols.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, and conflict management are highly desirable; willingness to obtain these certifications is expected.
- Background in law enforcement, military service, or security roles provides valuable insight into security procedures.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail during patrols and inspections.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts.
