Back Office Medical Assistant / Nurse
Position Description: The back office staff escorts patients into treatment rooms and performs the medical intake assessment. They provide patient care, doctor assistance, assure facility cleanliness, maintain inventory and update patient charts.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain patient flow into treatment rooms
- Prepare patients to be seen by the doctor
- Take X-Rays and prepare medical instruments
- Clean treatment rooms between patients
- Inventory supplies and maintain equipment
- Maintain a high level of patient service
- Update patient charts
- Maintain patient confidentiality and security according to HIPAA guidelines
- Schedule follow-up appointments and collect patient payments
Experience & Skills:
- Medical Assistant / RN certification and podiatry experience strongly preferred
- X-ray operations (and/or willingness to learn)
- Electronic Medical Records
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
- Professionalism in interpersonal interactions and personal presentation/appearance
- Bilingual, preferred
Job Type: Full-time, 37-40 hour week (77024)
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
