WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Service, maintain, and troubleshoot ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems
- Diagnose equipment issues and identify root causes
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs
- Work on commercial and industrial HVAC/R equipment
- Communicate with customers about work performed and recommended repairs
- Recommend preventative maintenance to improve efficiency and reduce costs

REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of ammonia refrigeration experience OR equivalent trade school/apprenticeship
- Commercial or Industrial HVAC/R experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow technically
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Background check & drug screen required
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- EPA 608 Certification preferred
- HVAC/R or Refrigeration Certification a plus
- Electrical, schematics, hand tools, and blueprint experience a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, with a primary focus on ammonia refrigeration. Work on a variety of refrigeration equipment including ammonia systems, rack systems, walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, ice machines, condensers, compressors, evaporators, and related refrigeration components. Perform preventative maintenance, electrical and mechanical diagnostics, identify root causes, and complete repairs safely and efficiently while following C&L Refrigeration’s service procedures and safety standards.
Independently respond to service calls, communicate with Dispatch and customers, and document work performed, findings, and repair recommendations. Maintain strong customer relationships by explaining issues and solutions clearly and identifying potential problems before they become costly repairs. Maintain proper tools and parts, assist fellow technicians, and continue developing technical knowledge of ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems while providing reliable, professional service.
IMPORTANT
- Regular travel throughout the Northern California territory is required based on customer and service needs.

Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour
