Job Overview We are seeking a friendly, reliable and customer-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our team at Island Naturals Kona. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service, accurately process transactions, stock merchandise, and help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment.
Responsibilities
- Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and follow cash-handling procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and answering questions with a positive attitude.
- Promote store products and special offers to support sales.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Stock shelves and maintain attractive product displays.
- Assist with merchandising and promotional displays according to store standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Answer customer phone calls professionally and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous cashier, retail, or grocery store experience preferred.
- Strong cash handling and basic math skills.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stock merchandise safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of merchandising and product presentation is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and takes initiative.
