Even Platforms is building a fully automated 5-axis machining center to serve Aerospace & Defense customers. We’re not a traditional machine shop. Our facilities center on 5-axis CNC milling with pallet loaders and robot-on-rails for material handling, backed by a software stack that automates back-office operations. Every part we produce goes through a CMM to guarantee quality. We’re building our first full shop from the ground up.
Role Description
We’re looking for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer/Machinist with experience working with Aerospace & Defense parts. This person knows what it means to program tight-tolerance components in world class machines and execute production on the floor. You’ll own the full workflow: from interpreting engineering drawings to developing toolpaths, proving out programs, and optimizing for lights-out production, loading machines, and inspecting them for quality. This is a ground-floor role with direct influence over how our shop runs and evolves.
Qualifications
- 5+ year developing 5-axis CAM programs for complex aerospace components using high-end CAM software (hyperMILL, Mastercam, NX, or equivalent), ideally with pallet loader integration
- Ability to translate engineering drawings and models into efficient toolpaths, selecting cutting tools and fixturing strategies that maximize both speed and quality
- Experience integrating probing routines, tool life management, and in-process gauging into production workflows to meet GD&T requirements and AS9100 standards
- Hands-on machining skills: loading parts, running machines, and performing post-process inspection
- A process-minded approach to building structured, repeatable workflows on the floor
- Willing to walk into an empty facility and build it from the ground up
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (i.e., green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
