Job Description
The Assistant to the Director primarily assists the Executive Director with communication and marketing. This includes the maintenance for the DYMUSA WIX website. The Assistant reports to and works in conjunction with the Executive Director of Dominican Youth Movement USA.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage the organization's Wix website
Content creation: blog posts, social media content, newsletters, graphics for advancement activities, etc.
Manage database of program participants, alumni, financial supporters, & friends
Assist with administrative tasks and the organization of programs
Occasional real-time program support for specific meetings or fundraising efforts
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Graphic Design or related field
Skills or experience in:
Canva, Google Suite, WIX websites, email marketing, basic video editing, Zoom
creating social media strategies and crafting engaging content
Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and email marketing. Along with a proven track record for growing social media following across various demographic groups
Qualities and work ethic:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented, self-starter who can manage time and independent tasks well
Generally curious and does not mind supporting from the background
Equipment needed:
Your own computer with audio/visual capabilities and access to the internet
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience as a content manager
Prior experience with fundraising, media campaigns, and graphic design
Knowledge of Meta Business Suite, Givebutter, LinkinBio, and EventBrite
Exposure to Dominican Spirituality and Traditions
