Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable Part-Time Evening Cleaning Technician to help keep our clients’ facilities clean, sanitary, and ready for the next day. This is a hands-on position suited for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the small details, and can stay productive without constant supervision.
Your responsibilities will include routine janitorial and floor-care duties, restroom and common-area cleaning, sanitizing frequently used surfaces, and maintaining a professional appearance throughout assigned facilities. Evening schedules provide an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible part-time work or additional income.
Weekend availability is required: applicants must be available to work at least one day between Friday and Sunday. Specific hours may vary based on the facility and assignment.
Current work opportunities are available in Owens Cross Roads, Huntsville, Madison, and Athens.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Vacuum, mop, sweep, dust, and sanitize surfaces according to established cleaning procedures.
- Operate custodial equipment such as floor buffers, automatic scrubbers, vacuums, and other commercial cleaning machines.
- Use cleaning chemicals and supplies correctly and follow all applicable safety guidelines.
- Complete floor-care tasks as needed, including machine scrubbing and buffing.
- Safely move cleaning supplies, equipment, and other materials during assigned duties.
- Follow facility-specific cleaning procedures and maintain consistent quality standards.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when products or materials need to be replenished.
- Complete required cleaning logs, inspections, or other documentation.
Qualifications
- No previous professional cleaning experience is necessary. We provide training for candidates who are willing to learn. Janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience is a plus.
- Comfortable working independently and staying on task with limited supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, professional results.
- Able to safely lift, carry, push, and move cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Willing to learn proper floor-care techniques and safe chemical-use procedures.
- Dependable, punctual, and consistent in attendance.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Professional attitude and ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Must be available to work at least one day Friday through Sunday.
