American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.

Labor & Delivery unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
-
Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, and OB/GYN surgical cases
-
Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
-
Performs circulating, scrub, pre-op, and post-op roles as well as low-risk antepartum and low-risk L&D care
-
Special procedures include blood/blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, cooling/warming blankets, wound vac, and administration of heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
-
Attends all deliveries including high-risk deliveries; also covers GYN surgeries, couplet care, and transition nursery

Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30

Floating required to post-partum and NICU based on skill set; all travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state

Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required

Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate

ACLS preferred
-
Epic experience required

Ability to perform scrub, circulate, pre-op, and post-op duties
-
Experience with high-risk deliveries and specialized OB procedures

First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Former permanent staff of any Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Former permanent staff of other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) are eligible after a 3-month separation period
-
All requested time off must be disclosed prior to consideration; RTO requests made after an offer is extended may be denied

Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty are required for consideration

SSN and DOB are required for consideration

Active professional license is required at the time of consideration
