Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Supervisor to oversee inventory management and warehouse distribution operations. This role is vital in ensuring accurate inventory control, process improvement, and efficient warehouse management. The ideal candidate will lead a team, optimize materials handling procedures, and uphold safety standards to support our logistics excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily inventory control activities, including stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes.
- Oversee warehouse distribution operations, ensuring timely and accurate shipping and receiving of goods.
- Lead and manage warehouse team members, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and streamline workflows.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for real-time tracking and data entry.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with logistics partners, including third-party logistics providers (3PL), to optimize supply chain efficiency.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision within a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in materials handling equipment operation, including forklift certification.
- Familiarity with lean management principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to lead teams effectively with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment and heavy lifting procedures.
- Understanding of shipping & receiving protocols, e-commerce logistics, and heavy lifting safety standards.
