POSITION SUMMARY
In this position reporting to the QA Manager, the QA Tech will be responsible for all facets of material and process quality to ensure all final products/outcomes adhere to Tandem’s quality expectation. In this position you may be required to support other areas of the facility as needed.
AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
· Serve as auditor to the lines and areas of production
· Monitor and maintain the QA inspection equipment area
· Adhere too, provide guidance and support to Tandem’s ISO policy and objectives
· Communicate with the operators to understand constraints and opportunity for improvement
· Active resource in implementing and maintaining accountability for corrective and preventative actions
· Active team member in our RCA process
· Supports quality team in maintaining calibration of critical tools and equipment
· Thorough understanding of the complete inspection process (incoming, in-process and final)
· Support and maintain the document control process
· Accepts other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned or as need becomes known
SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING/EXPERIENCES REQUIRED
- Associates Degree and/or 1-3 yrs of experience in a manufacturing quality role
- Well developed knowledge of Microsoft office suite-primarily excel and word
- Familiarity of RCA methodologies
- Able to demonstrate and keep high quality standards and serve as a leader in the role of quality
- Experience and familiarity with ISO standards
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with others
- Demonstrated change agent, self-starter and team player
- Ability to multi-task, with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Able to work independently and effectively prioritize work responsibilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Extended periods of time seated at a desk
· Extended periods of time on manufacturing floor
· Exposure to moving machinery
· Exposure to fumes and chemicals
· Ability to lift 50lbs, mechanical assist or help of a team member is generally available
SCHEDULE
- Monday through Friday 6 AM - 2 PM
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to $22.00 per hour
