We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse/Shipping Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to process improvement. This individual will supervise the warehousing and shipping of goods, coordinate simultaneous shipping and receiving schedules, manage labor, and control costs.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving project management: ensure all product from overseas container shipments are received, unloaded, correctly put away
- Manage outgoing shipment procedures in accordance to proper Routing Guidelines
- Inventory Management
- Proper and proactive maintenance of the warehouse including all warehouse equipment and industrial vehicles
- Manage outgoing shipments to customers to ensure excellent outbound traffic management resulting in on-time delivery to the customer under extremely tight delivery windows
- Oversee inventory control process
- Supervise and train warehouse personnel on shipping and receiving procedures, safety, loading requirements, warehouse safety
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse environment.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate necessary repairs or maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving processes and inventory management practices.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Pay: $69,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
