Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency with established recipes and standards
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience and promote beverage sales
- Manage the bar area efficiently by processing cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar station in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Develop new beverage recipes and craft innovative cocktails to keep the menu fresh and exciting
- Monitor inventory levels regularly, restock supplies as needed, and communicate with management about stock needs
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure seamless service during busy hours or special events such as banquets or catering functions
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or hospitality environments with strong knowledge of mixology techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently
- Extensive beverage knowledge including spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and cocktail recipes
- Demonstrated ability in food handling, food safety practices, and maintaining cleanliness standards in a food service setting
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple orders simultaneously
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods without compromising quality
- Previous experience working with banquet or catering services is a plus; retail math skills are beneficial for inventory management and cash handling
- Knowledge of brewing processes or beer styles is desirable; familiarity with beverage recipe development is preferred
