Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of daily living care. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and hygiene.
- Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Support medication administration under supervision and assist with care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed precisely.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring proper infection control practices.
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges.
- Document patient observations, care activities, and any incidents thoroughly to ensure seamless communication within the care team.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages social interaction and mental well-being.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care aligned with each resident’s care plan.
Experience
- 3+ years experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques
- Experience with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances your ability to provide specialized support.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and privacy in all patient interactions.
- Hands-on experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient monitoring is desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts is required for certain duties.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
