Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting, drainage, and refrigerant line connections.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify potential problems early and prevent system failures.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure system integrity.
- Repair or replace mechanical parts including motors, fans, belts, valves, welders’ joints, and other mechanical components.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports documenting all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for field service visits while adhering to traffic laws.
- Assist with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) system design modifications or upgrades as needed.
- Support property maintenance efforts by ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently within building management standards.
- Handle appliance repair tasks related to HVAC-related equipment such as thermostats or control panels.
- Apply welding skills when necessary for ductwork or component repairs involving metal fabrication.
- Follow safety protocols during all service procedures to protect yourself and colleagues from hazards associated with ammonia refrigeration or other refrigerants.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a strong mechanical background.
- Hands-on experience with construction projects involving HVAC installation or upgrades is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design principles is essential for accurate troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus for industrial settings.
- Previous field service experience working on property maintenance or appliance repair projects enhances your suitability for this role.
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, pumps, motors, welding techniques, and equipment repair is required to perform comprehensive maintenance tasks.
