Position Overview:
We’re seeking enthusiastic tutors and educators to work with students in grades 7th –12th. You’ll provide personalized instruction using Huntington’s structured programs. We are especially looking for tutors who:
- Can teach core verbal and math concepts for students of all ages
- Are experienced in standardized test prep (SAT, ACT, FAST, PERT, Accuplacer, ASVAB, FTCE, SSAT, etc.)
- Can break down complex concepts into clear, approachable steps
- Are comfortable using learning technology to enhance instruction
Subjects include:
Math, Reading, English, Writing, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish, Study Skills, and Test Prep (ACT/SAT).
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized or small-group tutoring sessions
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment
- Support students in strengthening academic skills and confidence
Qualifications
✔ Bachelor’s degree required
✔ Teaching certification is a plus
✔ Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Note: Tutoring for most students occurs in the afternoon after school is out, however, we also have morning sessions and Saturday's available. During the summer we are open 9am to 6pm.
