Mrs. Hanes’ Moravian Cookies is looking for dependable, hardworking people to join our cookie-making family as full-time Moravian Cookie Rollers.
Our cookies are still made by hand using traditional methods. We will train you to knead the dough, roll it paper-thin, and cut each cookie before it is sent to the baking department. No previous bakery experience is required.
Pay and Production Incentives
- Starting pay: $13.00 per hour
- Opportunity to earn weekly production bonuses of up to $275
- Paid every Wednesday by direct deposit

Production bonuses are earned by exceeding established production goals while maintaining our quality standards. Quality, accuracy, dependability, and honest production records are essential.
What a Cookie Roller Does
Cookie Rollers work in the bakery’s production department and are responsible for:
- Kneading and preparing cookie dough
- Rolling dough by hand to the proper thickness
- Cutting cookies into the assigned shapes
- Following daily instructions from the Roller Team Lead
- Meeting established daily and weekly production goals
- Checking cookies for quality and consistency
- Keeping the workstation, tools, and surrounding area clean and orderly
- Following food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures
- Working cooperatively with the rolling and baking teams
The type of dough and cookie shape may change from day to day. Each Roller’s quality and productivity are measured as part of the position.
New Rollers complete a 90-day introductory and training period while learning our traditional methods and progressing toward the required production standards.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of:
Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
This is a great daytime schedule, and we never work on Sundays. Seasonal overtime or schedule adjustments may occasionally be required based on production needs.
Reliable and punctual attendance is essential. Applicants must have dependable transportation and be able to report to work by 6:30 a.m.
Physical Requirements
This is an active production job involving repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the workday. Employees must be able to perform the following essential duties, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Stand at a workstation for extended periods
- Bend, stoop, reach, knead, roll, and cut repeatedly
- Use both hands for detailed and repetitive work
- Regularly lift and handle 20–30 pounds
- Maintain a steady and productive working pace
