Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, motor skills, and social-emotional growth in infants.
- Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Engage with children through interactive activities, play-based learning, and individualized attention to support developmental milestones.
- Monitor and document each child's progress, adjusting lesson plans to meet their unique needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with families to share insights on their child's development and provide guidance on early intervention strategies when necessary.
- Manage classroom routines, including potty training, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with health standards.
- Uphold policies related to child welfare, safety protocols, behavior management, and classroom management to ensure a secure learning space.
Experience
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare setting or preschool environment is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques.
- Experience developing curriculum content focused on literacy education, physical education, and social skills for young children.
- Classroom management skills that foster positive behavior and create an inclusive atmosphere for diverse learners.
- Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Familiarity with Experience Curriculum, NAEYC, CT ELDS, or other specialized early childhood education approaches is a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
