Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of bagels, sandwiches, and other menu items with precision and care.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as toasters, ovens, slicers, and food processors safely and efficiently.
- Manage customer orders using POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS to ensure quick and accurate service.
- Handle cash register operations including processing transactions, giving change, and managing cash handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace by adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Provide friendly customer service by taking orders accurately, answering questions about menu options, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
Experience
- Prior experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated food handling and safety management skills within a restaurant or café environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Experience in retail sales transactions, cashiering, or food service customer order management is beneficial.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately.
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience that showcases your ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
