CNC Machine Operator/ Climate Controled Shop
Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:30am - 4:30pm Fridays for OT
Pay: $25-35hr
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma (On-Site)

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and precise operation of HAAS CNC lathes and mills to produce custom metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role plays a key part in the fabrication of one-of-a-kind architectural metalwork.
The ideal candidate is a skilled machinist who takes pride in close-tolerance work, is comfortable operating both CNC and manual equipment, and thrives in a custom fabrication environment where every project is unique.
- Set up and operate HAAS CNC lathes and mills to machine parts to print
- Load, run, and make minor edits to CNC programs; adjust tool offsets to maintain tolerances
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, and work-holding setups; verify alignment and clearances
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges)
- Document setup sheets and first-article inspections for repeatability
- Operate manual mills and lathes for prototype, one-off, or specialty parts
- Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, milling, drilling, and tapping
- Determine when manual machining is more efficient than CNC for short runs or simple parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and material specifications
- Maintain quality records and report non-conformances to the Shop Manager
- Keep machines and work areas clean and properly maintained
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Coordinate with the Shop Manager and fabrication team to align machining with welding, grinding, and assembly processes
- Communicate material needs, tooling issues, or drawing discrepancies proactively
- Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce setup time, minimize scrap, and improve efficiency
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience (HAAS controls strongly preferred)
- Ability to set up and operate CNC lathes and mills from blueprints
- Strong precision measurement and inspection skills
- Experience making minor program edits and offset adjustments at the machine
- Experience with manual mills and lathes
- Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience machining non-ferrous metals (aluminum, brass, bronze)
- Familiarity with Fusion 360 or other CAM software
- Experience in a custom or job-shop environment
- Vocational or technical training in machining or manufacturing
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working around machinery, cutting fluids, and metal materials
- Must wear required PPE, including hearing and eye protection
