Pay Rate $17 HR!

Tuesday – Saturday (Tues-Fri 7am-4pm and Sat 6am-3pm)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ship and receive freight from common carriers, van lines, UPS, FedEx and individuals.
· Locate, pull and stage freight for shipping.
· Load and unload truck either individually or with assistance of drivers or other dock workers, with or without mechanical freight-handling equipment
· Inspect freight for damage, correct model number, correct serial number, and lease number, document accessories.
· Shrink wrap, corner board, assemble boxes by taping or stapling, use foam machine and weigh scales while preparing freight for shipment.
· Use of hand tools and power tools for disassembling shipping boxes and cutting wood for overseas containers.
· Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight.
· Operate a forklift and order picker with proper training.
· Seasonal duties including lawn care, shoveling snow and spreading salt.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
· Must have the ability to read, write, and perform simple mathematical calculations
· Moderate computer skills- with proper training; must attain proficiency with inventory management software.
· Customer communications and service skills – phone and in-person
· Minimum of 1 year forklift and order picker experience
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to perform occasional squatting and crouching to handle and position freight.
· Must be able to pull and lift approximately 100 pounds during lift gate operations and sea container load out.
· Must be able to frequently perform pushing or pulling of freight 500 pounds with or without a mechanical aid and perform occasional pushing or pulling of freight weighing up to 1200 pounds on a dolly, cart, or stand.
· Must be able to frequently perform carrying freight weighing one pound to 50 pounds of varying size and shape a distance of at least one foot but usually no more than 20 feet.
· Must be able to load and unload full 53 foot trailers of freight. This could involve moving 125 pound containers with assistance of others from shoulder height and floor level to carts or platforms.
Environment:
· Warehouse conditions are usually above 50 degrees in the winter and as high as outside temperatures during the summer.
· Warehouse Workers may spend 5% of time out-of-doors, exposed to potentially difficult environmental conditions.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
