We've built a strong foundation since our founding, and we're looking for an experienced marketplace specialist to help us scale that success further.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Marketplace Growth & Performance Specialist to help drive sales and profitability across our online marketplace channels. You'll be responsible for evaluating marketplace performance, diagnosing why products underperform, recommending actionable improvements, carrying out strategies with coworkers, and helping expand our product assortment and marketplace presence.
This is not a basic listing or data-entry position. You will work with company leadership to discuss strategies and findings and will be involved in implementing your recommendations. Candidates should have hands-on experience managing products within marketplace seller portals and a strong understanding of marketplace search algorithms, merchandising, and performance optimization.
This is an in-office position only. Candidates that cannot work in-office need not apply.
Responsibilities
- Analyze marketplace performance, including impressions, conversions, return rates, pricing, and competitive positioning to identify issues causing underperformance and improvements.
- Conduct detailed audits of product listings to diagnose problems related to marketplace SEO, merchandising, customer experience, attribute mapping, suppressed listings, and content compliance.
- Research competitors, pricing trends, and customer demand to identify opportunities for growth.
- Implement strategies to improve performance, working directly within marketplace portals including Wayfair Partner Home, Home Depot Seller Center, Overstock Supplier Oasis, and similar platforms.
- Communicate with marketplace support teams and account managers to resolve listing errors and technical problems on the marketplace side.
- Prepare performance reports and present recommendations supported by data.
- Assist with other office and e-commerce projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of e-commerce marketplace experience.
- Hands-on experience managing products on at least one of the following marketplaces is required: Wayfair, Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond, Overstock, Amazon
- Proven experience improving marketplace performance through data analysis and optimization.
- Strong understanding of marketplace SEO, product discoverability, catalog optimization, keyword strategy, and conversion rate optimization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, filters, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-person office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with product feeds, ERP systems, PIM platforms, or inventory management software such as Sellercloud.
- Experience in home improvement, bath, furniture, or related product categories.
Interview Process
Candidates should be prepared to walk through an example of how they would audit a low-performing SKU. We will ask you to explain your thought process, including how you identify the root cause of poor performance and the steps you would take to improve results.
Compensation
Compensation is competitive and will be based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise.
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
