Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Lead Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role is essential in managing guest flow, coordinating seating arrangements, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth service.
- Handle guest issues or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station.
- Support the restaurant team during busy periods by helping with guest services as needed.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience in hospitality or food service is preferred, enhancing guest relations.
- Familiarity with Open Table/SpotOn Reserve required.
- Familiarity with SpotOn POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A customer-focused attitude with a passion for providing excellent guest services.
- Previous experience as a lead host (board runner) in a full service restaurant is required.

This is a tipped position. Base pay starts at $10 + automatic tip out which brings the hourly pay to $16.80 - $17.50.
