Junior Analyst, Space and Facilities
Position Overview
The Junior Analyst, Space and Facilities supports space planning and facilities management functions for the federal client's Hines Information Technology Center (HITC) location. This role assists with gathering and organizing facility and space utilization data, and produces clear, accurate reports using common office automation tools to support decision-making by program leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Space Planning & Facilities Support
- Assist in tracking and maintaining accurate space utilization and occupancy data for the HITC facility.
- Support space planning activities, including seating assignments, floor plan updates, and move coordination.
- Help maintain inventory records for furniture, equipment, and facility assets.
- Assist with facility condition monitoring and reporting of maintenance or space-related issues.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Gather and organize facility and space-related data from multiple sources.
- Create clear, accurate reports and visual summaries using common office automation tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Track key metrics related to space utilization and facility operations.
- Support leadership with data needed for space planning decisions.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with facilities staff, vendors, and cross-functional teams on space and facilities matters.
- Respond to routine inquiries related to space assignments and facility requests.
- Support program leadership with deliverables and reporting timelines.
Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation of space plans, facility records, and related standard operating procedures.
- Ensure activities comply with applicable federal security, privacy, and facility management requirements.
Required Qualifications
- AA degree or completion of a 2-year technical school program in a Business discipline (or 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education).
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in data gathering, reporting, or facilities/space administration.
- Experience gathering data and creating reports using common office automation tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000/year
