Lotus Concepts Management is a growing hospitality management company overseeing a diverse portfolio of restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, and commercial real estate throughout Colorado. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team at our Denver Home Office.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where no two days are the same. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, preparing financial reports, and assisting with the accounting functions across multiple operating companies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
- Review financial statements and investigate account variances
- Prepare supporting schedules and financial reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Record and reconcile fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Prepare sales tax and other business tax filings as required
- Work closely with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Operations, and Property Management teams
- Assist with annual audits and provide requested documentation
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Support special projects and company growth initiatives
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy in all financial reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
- QuickBooks experience is required
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred
- Hospitality or restaurant accounting experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
