Duties
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from customers using POS system TOAST, ensuring quick and correct processing of transactions
- Prepare and serve food items, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout all stages of food handling and kitchen operations
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace including bussing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring proper food safety procedures are followed
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food preparation activities
- Manage cash register operations, process cash and card transactions accurately, and handle cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guests leave satisfied
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus; training will be provided if needed
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or retail sales transactions demonstrates your ability to handle fast-paced environments effectively
- Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Retail store or grocery store experience can be beneficial for understanding customer interactions and sales processes
- Basic math skills are essential for processing transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
