American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week OR travel assignment in Anchorage, AK, requiring NBSTSA certification and proficiency in total joints, spinal fusion, and Da Vinci Xi robotic cases.

Hospital OR setting with 11 operating rooms located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building

Day shift hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with on-call requirements

On-call averages 5–6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift per 8-week sign-up period
-
Typical cases include total joints, multi-level spinal fusions, and Da Vinci Xi robotic procedures (GYN, colorectal, and general surgery)

Patient ratio is 1:1

Day shift staffing averages 8 RNs, 8 scrub techs, and 5 surgical support techs

Night shift is staffed with one charge RN and one scrub tech in-house with call team backup

Facility-provided scrubs

Minimum of 2 years of CST experience, with active experience within the last 6 months

NBSTSA certification required

BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

Experience with Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery required

Experience with spinal fusion (orthopedic or neurosurgery) required

Experience with orthopedic surgery including total joint arthroplasty required

License required if applicable

US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSN accepted

One professional reference required (two required if from Florida or Missouri)

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Perform scrub tech duties across a variety of surgical specialties, with a primary focus on total joints, neuro, and Xi robotic cases

ENT, dental, ophthalmology, and plastics cases are minimal on this unit

Collaborative team environment; candidates should have a positive attitude and willingness to work with team members

Three 12-hour shifts per week
