Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions to meet client needs and preferences.
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools, stations, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look, offering professional advice on hair care, color theory, and suitable styles.
- Upsell retail products like hair care items and nail care products to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Manage front desk duties such as greeting clients, checking in appointments, and answering inquiries professionally.
- Mentor junior stylists or apprentices to promote skill development within the team.
Skills
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of hair styling and coloring expertise.
- Proficiency in salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
- Skilled in various techniques including barbering with straight razors, eyelash extensions, and nail care services.
- Deep knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Strong communication skills for effective client consultations and team collaboration.
- Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for upselling and inventory management.
- Familiarity with store management principles to contribute to overall salon operations.
