Craft and Technical Solutions is an established Marine and Industrial Staffing Company with offices nationwide. Currently, CTS is reviewing resumes for Marine Electricians in Pascagoula, MS.
**$150/day per diem for qualified candidates**
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
- Responsible for layout, installation, and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, and electronic equipment, as well as the ship's power.
- Follow blueprints to construct and install instrument panels using appropriate tools.
- Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.
- Connect power-supply circuits to fire control, sonar, radio, and other electronic equipment.
- Install conduit to bulkheads with brackets and screws.
- Thread wires through conduit to connection boxes, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, and switch panels.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools and testing equipment.
- Test voltage, resistance, and circuits using indicators and meters.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in a commercial, industrial, or maritime setting.
- 1 year of maritime experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
- Experience using standard electrician equipment (meters, gauges, hand tools etc.).
- Willing to work at heights and in confined spaces in different weather conditions.
- Position may be required to work either day or night shifts based on shipyard needs.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols in a marine environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
