Responsibilities and Duties
Provide quality instruction in an International Baccalaureate K-5 programme for special education students in grades K - 5. Collaborate with general education teachers to design instruction to meet individual student needs using a variety of instructional techniques and technologies. Develop Individual Education Plans (IEP) to support individual learning needs; facilitate Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings; provide targeted instruction to students; monitor student progress in relation to goals and objectives; communicate with parents, teachers and students; and maintain accurate special education records. Small population of students in self-contained classroom.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree and EC-12 Special Education certification are required. ESL EC-12 preferred. Master's degree or equivalent work experience desired. International experience an advantage. Candidates must embrace flexibility.

Teacher work hours are 7:15 - 3:45 Monday to Friday. Wednesday is an early release day for students. Teachers are given time for planning, collaboration, and alignment meetings throughout the work week and on Wednesday afternoon.
