Responsible for overseeing a team of QA Technicians and managing the Quality programs at the Atlanta, GA location. Ensure adherence to company and government regulations. Conduct inspections, audits, and validations of quality performance in all aspects of operations.
- Maintain and foster a Safety Culture focused on Food Safety and a secure workplace.
- Follow and enforce Food Safety Practices, uphold SQF certification by complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Procedures, SQF requirements, and maintaining good housekeeping standards. Ensure plant readiness for inspections or tours.
- Support the plant’s SQF certification program.
- Implement QA policies, procedures, and directives to promote development and compliance. Provide feedback and follow-up to ensure proper corrective actions are taken.
- Coach and develop QA Technicians to effectively monitor and validate plant quality processes and procedures.
- Emphasize the continual improvement of the Quality at the Source program, ensuring effectiveness and encouraging Processing and Packaging Team Members to conduct their own quality checks.
- Facilitate communication across departments by identifying and resolving production process issues.
- Prepare reports and provide regular feedback to keep management informed of operational details.
- Carry out various duties as directed by the Quality Assurance Department Manager.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards and systems to oversee food safety, food safety culture, quality, and facility cleanliness.
