Position Summary Assist with the maintenance, operations, and upkeep of FeedNC facilities, grounds, and related assets on a daily basis (8 am – 4 pm position). This role includes warehouse support, janitorial responsibilities, basic maintenance/handyman tasks, and groundskeeping to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all. Operations
● Utilize an established maintenance system (Limble) to track facility and grounds maintenance needs.
● Maintain organization of FeedNC tools and equipment.
● Assist with food distribution following FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
● Support receiving and put-away processes for the food rescue program.
● Collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator on volunteer-related warehouse tasks.
● Provide guidance and support to volunteer teams in the warehouse.
● Provide support to other Operations staff, as needed.
● Ensure facilities, grounds, and related assets are kept clean, safe, and secure.
● Take ownership of maintenance-related inspections and troubleshooting.
● Perform janitorial responsibilities to ensure cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and public spaces.
● Perform groundskeeping (trash removal, basic landscaping, seasonal upkeep).
● Carry out basic maintenance/handyman tasks, including light repairs and preventative maintenance.
● Other job-related duties as assigned.
Basic Duties for All Employees

● Greet guests and volunteers pleasantly and assist them as appropriate.
● Understand and practice guest and donor confidentiality.
● Monitor facilities, report issues, and maintain property appearance.
● Perform other duties as requested by management that the employee is capable of.
Education & Experience
● High school diploma required.
● 2–3 years of maintenance, janitorial, and/or groundskeeping experience required.
● Six months of warehouse experience required.
● Forklift certification preferred.
● Pallet jack experience required. Updated August 2025
● OSHA 10 certification preferred
● Physical labor required, including ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Qualifications
● Experience in Limble or similar Maintenance Management Systems preferred.

Equipment Operated: Hand tools, power tools, commercial kitchen equipment, manual warehouse equipment, and powered warehouse equipment. Working Conditions: Possible exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions due to frequent contact with staff and guests. Occasional local and regional travel required. Ability to work weekend and evening hours as needed.
