Job Overview
The receptionist is responsible for managing front-desk operations and providing exceptional customer service to clients and patients. This role includes answering and directing phone calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate medical records, and coordinating communication between clients and staff. The receptionist also processes payments, handles billing inquiries, and ensures a welcoming, organized, and efficient clinic environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate, professional demeanor are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Create and maintain a welcoming, organized, and efficient environment for clients, patients, and staff
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails in a courteous and efficient manner
- Schedule and manage appointments
- Facilitate clear and timely communication between clients and staff
- Create and maintain accurate and organized medical records
- Process payments and manage billing
- Order pet food and office supplies
- Manage daily and monthly reporting
- Assist with additional tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in veterinary reception or related customer service roles are required
- Computer and software literacy are required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Flexibility in schedule is preferred, as hours and days needed are subject to change
