BMD Manufacturing is looking for a dependable, safety-focused Warehouse Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on position responsible for preparing products for shipment, building custom shipping crates, managing inventory, assisting with deliveries and installations, and supporting the daily operations of our warehouse and manufacturing team.
Because this position will assist with deliveries and other driving-related responsibilities, candidates must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

What You’ll Do
As a Warehouse Associate, you will:
- Build shipping crates using lumber, plywood, and other materials based on the size and specifications of the product.
- Read and accurately use a tape measure when completing production and crating work.
- Safely use basic hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
- Fulfill orders accurately and prepare products for shipment.
- Safely handle, pack, protect, load, and unload products.
- Unload containers and organize incoming materials and inventory.
- Use scanners, tablets, and other warehouse technology to track orders, inventory, and order fulfillment.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and help maintain accurate inventory records.
- Identify damaged or defective materials, products, or finished components.
- Repair minor defects when appropriate and promptly communicate quality concerns.
- Assist with deliveries, product installations, and other customer-support activities as assigned.
- Safely operate company vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment when authorized and trained.
- Communicate material shortages, production delays, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient work area.
- Work cooperatively with team members to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer commitments.
- Follow all company safety policies, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other warehouse, production, delivery, or operational duties as needed.
Driving Requirements
This position requires driving as part of the employee’s assigned responsibilities. Candidates must:
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Have and maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with company requirements.
- Be able to safely operate a company vehicle when assigned.
- Follow all traffic laws, company vehicle policies, and safe-driving expectations.
- Successfully complete any motor vehicle record review or driver-qualification process required by the company.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, production, assembly, carpentry, woodworking, construction, cabinetmaking, finish work, delivery, or related environment preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to follow work orders, safety instructions, production specifications, and established procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Dependable attendance and the ability to complete assigned work within established timeframes.
- Ability to recognize damaged materials, product defects, and potential safety concerns.
- Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic math skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, measurements, counts, and material requirements.
- Ability to use scanners, tablets, timekeeping systems, and basic production or warehouse technology.
- Safety-focused, service-oriented, and willing to assist wherever needed.
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on position in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. Employees must be able to:
- Regularly stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, grasp, lift, carry, and handle tools, materials, and products.
- Occasionally climb, kneel, crouch, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
- Lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds regularly.
- Safely work around forklifts, pallet jacks, production tools, equipment, and moving mechanical parts.
- Work in an environment that may include noise, dust, wood particles, adhesives, temperature variations, and other warehouse or manufacturing conditions.
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
