Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist with menu planning to create innovative pizza options that appeal to diverse tastes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee optimal quality and safety
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient food service during peak hours
- Follow proper food handling procedures during meal preparation and serving to uphold hygiene standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or food service setting is highly preferred
- Strong background in culinary arts, including food preparation, cooking, and knife skills
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant or kitchen environment
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork-oriented attitude
- Prior experience in fine dining or the food industry will be considered an asset
