EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position plays an important role in supporting employee relations activities within the Department of Corrections by offering guidance, analysis, and direction on complex workplace matters. As a Human Resource Analyst 3, you will perform the following duties:

Consultation Support: Provide guidance to managers on contract interpretation, disciplinary actions, and employee relations concerns

Grievance Review: Investigate and analyze grievances, prepare responses, and participate in related hearings

Discipline Oversight: Evaluate disciplinary requests for consistency and ensure cases are defensible through established procedures

Investigation Assistance: Review and conduct investigations to ensure adequate evidence and recommend steps to strengthen findings

Training Delivery: Develop and present training programs related to employee relations and collective bargaining updates

Labor Meetings: Participate in labor management and meet and discuss sessions and prepare follow up responses

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time; up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg, PA.. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
