Laurentia Vineyard and Winery is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Laurentia offers an elevated winery dining experience focused on seasonal ingredients, exceptional hospitality, and thoughtfully paired estate wines. The Executive Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain culinary standards, manage staff, and ensure an outstanding guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading all kitchen operations and culinary execution
- Supervise and train line cooks, and kitchen staff
- Assist Executive Chef with prep for daily services and private events
- Support menu development, seasonal offerings, and special event menus
- Assist in monitoring food costs, inventory, ordering, and waste control
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive culinary leadership experience
- Prior sous chef or kitchen management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food costing, inventory management, and kitchen operations
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly rate $25-$27
