Description:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for providing outstanding full service to all customers internally and externally over the phone.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage scheduling, cancelling and rescheduling of appointments for patients

Answer telephones in a pleasant and helpful manner

Take prescription refill requests

Acquire and document all patient demographic information accurately
-
Follow protocol for complete patient registration process including verification of insurance coverage

Apply billing and collecting practices including securing payment plans
-
Review and disseminate incoming documents
-
Initiate and complete patient portal registration
-
Provide assistance to fellow team members
-
Compliant with HIPAA, NCPA’s Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct policies
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Some college preferred
2. Must be computer literate.
3. Excellent customer service skills
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with medical terminology
- At least one year of experience working in a call center preferred
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications including electronic medical records

- Operate a variety of office equipment and computer programs
- Answer the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner
- Speak clearly and concisely
- Read, understand and follow oral, and written instruction
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and physicians
