We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant with experience to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals in providing patient care.
Duties:
- Take patient histories and vital signs (ideally comfortable interpreting vitals)
- Administer injections/treatments (ex. Spravato/TMS) as directed by providers
- Assist patients with completing paperwork through our patient portal
- Enter orders for patients as directed and ensure patient records are accurate
- Obtain relevant medical records from prior providers as requested, including recent hospitalizations
- Ensure medication scripts and refill requests are sent to the appropriate pharmacy
- Handle patient and pharmacy phone calls regarding patient care, including taking messages for other providers
- Assist in administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in an interdisciplinary team environment
- Prior experience working as a medical assistant
- Ability to complete patient visit and prior authorizations
- Bilingual preferred, but not required
