Apprentice Press Technician
Penn United Technologies, Inc., a leading advanced contract manufacturer, is currently accepting applications for a full-time Apprentice Press Technician to join our Stamping team. Responsibilities:
- Learn, according to applicable apprenticeship standards for Press Technology, the knowledge and skills necessary to receive state certified journeyman’s papers upon completion of the program (typically 3 years)

Learn to install, align, and lock dies into rams or beds of machines

Set-up, operate and monitor progressive stamping die presses that punch, crimp, bend, etc.. to make quality metal parts

Test and adjust machine feeds and speeds. Record operational, quality, and shipping documentation

Clean and lubricate machines

Regular attendance for on-site apprenticeship classes

Follow all safety and quality programs and procedures
Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; some vocational-technical training preferred

High level of technical, mechanical and math ability

Desire to learn and ability to apply knowledge to on-the-job tasks

Able to regularly attend required, on-site apprenticeship classes

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Service attitude, commitment to safety and quality

Must be able to work rotating shifts (day, afternoon and midnight)
- Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
