Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated PRN (pro re nata, or as-needed basis) Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide expert physical therapy services to diverse patient populations across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, and home health environments. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and functional limitations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical best practices and patient goals.
- Implement therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, exercise programs, trigger point therapy, and modalities tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to maximize recovery outcomes.
- Document all clinical encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems following established documentation standards.
- Assist with discharge planning by evaluating patients’ readiness for transition to home or community care settings.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive care delivery across settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home health visits.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and activity modifications.
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and healthcare regulations related to physiotherapy practice.
Requirements
- Valid licensure or certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Prior experience practicing in acute care, outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital settings, or home health environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in physiotherapy techniques including orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, pediatrics, and trigger point therapy.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology relevant to rehabilitation practices.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and clinical documentation standards within electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems).
- Ability to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working with geriatric patients and managing care plans for complex medical conditions.
- Knowledge of discharge planning procedures and outpatient rehabilitation protocols.
- Familiarity with outpatient rehabilitation center operations and inpatient hospital workflows.
