We're seeking a 2nd Shift Precision Production Set-Up Operator Mills and Lathes to join our client's manufacturing team. This Temp to Perm role is based on-site at our client's facility on Corporate Circle, supporting high-precision machining operations. The position offers an opportunity to work in a production environment that balances quality and efficiency.
2nd Shift Precision Production Set-Up Operator Mills and Lathes Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up machining equipment, including mills and lathes, to produce precision parts.
- Manage production schedules and run operations accordingly to meet output targets.
- Conduct quality inspections using gauges and visual assessment during production runs.
- Complete accurate documentation for each production batch, including labels and records.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery as needed to ensure smooth operation.
2nd Shift Precision Production Set-Up Operator Mills and Lathes Qualifications:
- Experience with set-up and operation of mills and lathes; prior manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and routings.
- Capable of performing in-process quality checks and documenting results accurately.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling parts up to approximately 40 lbs.
- Basic computer skills helpful for reporting labor, scrap, and rework data in production systems.
