Part-Time, Ongoing: Approximately 10-15 Hours per Week
About Touchstone Advisors
Touchstone Advisors is a leading New England-based lower middle market M&A firm. We advise owners of privately held and family businesses on exit strategies and transactions for companies with $10M to $100M in revenue across a wide range of industries.
The Role
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Due Diligence Coordinator to support our team on an ongoing, part-time basis. This is a steady long-term arrangement, not a stepping stone to a full-time position. We are specifically looking for someone who wants it to stay that way.
The workload is real but modest: plan on roughly 10-15 hours per week on average. The hours are not evenly distributed. Some weeks are quiet; others, when a deal is moving quickly, will require more attention on short notice. You will need to be reachable and responsive during standard business hours, even on a part-time schedule.
You will begin collecting diligence materials at the start of the transaction. Following the signing of a Letter of Intent, you will manage the flow of information, requests, and follow-ups across clients, buyers, attorneys, and internal team members during active due diligence, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
What You’ll Do
- Organize and maintain deal materials and checklists across stakeholders from deal origination until closing
- Track diligence requests and follow up to keep all parties accountable
- Actively manage a handful of concurrent transactions, juggling competing priorities across deals, staying ahead of what's needed next, and catching problems before they cause delays
- Identify missing information and proactively drive next steps
- Participate in client and deal-related calls; capture key actions and manage follow-ups in real time
- Maintain strict confidentiality across all deal-related information
Who This Role Is Right For
This position suits someone who has already had a career or substantive work experience and is deliberately choosing part-time, flexible work right now, not someone using it as a placeholder while searching for full-time employment. You should be looking for a long-term, limited-hours arrangement and comfortable with a workload that ebbs and flows from week to week.
Relevant backgrounds may include prior experience in M&A, investment banking, financial services, legal or paralegal work, or project/transaction coordination. What matters most is sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces without close supervision.
Key Attributes
- Strong process management skills, not just task execution
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable with a fluctuating, unpredictable weekly schedule
- High ownership mindset and follow-through with minimal oversight
- Professional judgment and discretion handling confidential information
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Availability
- Must be reachable and available to respond during business hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday
- Total weekly hours average around 10, but week-to-week volume varies with deal activity
- Bachelor’s degree required
- This role is 100% remote; candidates must be located in Connecticut
What This Role Offers
- A genuinely part-time role with a predictable long-term arrangement
- Direct exposure to live M&A transactions
- Meaningful responsibility without a full-time commitment
- The ability to work independently and manage your own time within the week
